S.O.S. Respira goes for tapas
On the 9 October, Seville will hold Hospitality Day, and the city's bars want to celebrate it by getting into the Guinness World Records for the longest tapas bar in the world, measuring 600 meters long, which will hold 300 bars and will serve 45,000 tapas.
Our S.O.S. Respira program will be taking part in the day, with two stands, one at the start and one at the end of the bar, offering training to the public on how to prevent choking.
Knowing what to do when faced with someone choking can save lives. The hospitality sector knows that over 2000 people a year die from choking in Spain and many of these cases occur in their establishments. Prior to this event, the SOS Respira program will offer practical training to professionals in the gastronomy field who will be taking part in this long bar, so they know what to do if someone starts choking.
In addition, we will provide attendees with the free S.O.S. Respira App where we explain in detail through video tutorials taught by professionals, all the measures for preventing choking as well as the maneuvers necessary in order to act immediately.
Come and see us and find out for yourself. Help us to break our own record: no more victims of choking.
