Talent, commitment and innovation in competition
Providing simple solutions to real problems for people in our society is the goal of the projects competing to be the winners of the second edition of our Social Innovation Awards. The values at play which make each product a unique initiative are the following: their innovation, their social impact and their ability to be viable from a technical, economic and organizational point of view.
The projects submitted in the separate categories of Health, Insurance and Sustainable Mobility, should promote sustainability, equality and inclusion. With these Awards we seek to promote creativity, entrepreneurship and leadership as tools for creating a fairer world.
The 26 best projects have been chosen by a judging panel consisting of experts from Fundación MAPFRE and IE University, from among 233 projects submitted from different parts of the world for this second edition of the awards. The chosen projects hail from 11 different countries, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Denmark, Spain, Guatemala, Luxembourg, Mexico, Portugal and the United Kingdom, and they will compete in one of the three semi-finals, depending on the country they are from, which will be held in Mexico City and Sao Paulo in June and in Madrid in July. The Grand Final will be held on 10 October in Madrid.
The winner in each category will receive 30,000 euros in order to provide a game-changing boost to their project and they will also receive training and follow-up to help publicize their work.
