The Fundación CMR – Comedor Santa María works on the “Feed a child” program in Hornos, Mexico City. The project, which is supported by Fundación MAPFRE, offers a full meal during the entire school year for children living in extreme poverty.

The goal of the “Comedor Santa María” project is to offer specialized care to children from 4 to 16 years old who are having trouble meeting their basic subsistence and development needs.

The project is focused around a nutritional program where the Fundación provides a healthy and balanced daily meal from Monday to Friday to 230 beneficiaries.

The organization also works on implementing a human education program which provides boys and girls with the skills needed to reduce violence, to encourage them to stay in school and educate them on how to be resilient.

The Fundación CMR has spent the last 13 years working on the nutrition of children in Mexico and transforming their lives. It has developed its work in collaboration with the comedores Santa María and other organizations in 13 Mexican states.
