Thanks to the work that the Foundation for the Support of Abandoned Children, FANA, has been developing for years, many vulnerable children in Colombia have been able to have a chance in life. FANA, supported by Fundacion MAPFRE, offers them food, protection and education so they can have a full life from early childhood.

Andrea Calderon and Lorena Panqueva are two clear examples from this. Both of them have a close relationship with the institution after having been beneficiaries of its programs. The first one, after being adoptive mother through FANA, today is a voluntary and provides expertise in the area of Human Resources.

Meanwhile Lorena Panqueva, who was given up for adoption through FANA, today is a doctor and responsible of the Children Area of the same entity, which gave her the opportunity to have a family and develop as a person. In the last 4 years she has been fulfilling herself professionally in FANA, living in first person the experience of caring for children who are in the same situation in which she was years ago.

“I owe FANA being a mom, I owe them my joy“, Andrea Calderón

“It is a pleasure to work FANA because FANA is love. Child care is a blessing“, Lorena Panqueva
