When it comes to promoting reading, however much effort we make is never enough. This is something that the Pan y amor association knows all too well. In order to celebrate book day and continue developing their students' wonderful habit of reading, the Pan y Amor school carried out its How Many Tales Can You Tell activity, which consisted of representing lots of different fairy stories. Around the school's premises you could see Pinocchio and Gepetto, you could follow the adventures of the ugly duckling, enjoy la rosa más feliz (the happiest rose), or accompany the little match girl in her sorrows.

All of these characters and many more accompanied the students on a day celebrating the importance of reading in order to develop knowledge and the imagination as well as to learn about values.

The children who attend this school, who come from families going through great hardship, receive academic training as well as education on how to coexist and be good citizens. Reading is a fantastic support in the process of educating about values and it also serves as a refuge for children who sometimes need to escape their own reality.

The activity drew to a close in the El Carmen church hall, where a theater group delighted the audience with a play.
