The Juan Felipe Gómez Escobar (Juanfe) Foundation receives the 2nd TELVA Solidarity Award 2016 in the international category for the project that takes place in Cartagena de Indias (Colombia) through which teenage mothers living in extreme poverty are supported to improve their living conditions in the familiar, psychological and socioeconomic level.
Fundación MAPFRE knows first-hand the important work being carried out by JUANFE, due to the fact that they have been collaborating for a fair while to move this project forward. A great reason to share the joy of this recognition.
The received award, granted a prize of 9,000 euros, will serve to further support the project that aims to empower adolescent mothers for their insertion into the labor market. In JUANFE, they are offered the needed tools to succeed, providing them with a training program that allows them to enter the labour market and move forward. The prize given by TELVA will go to this program.
