The Eugenia Ravasco Day Care Center, in Panareque, Philippines, principally provides an education to underprivileged children in the surrounding area. However, faced with the huge number of people in need in the region, this center also supports the whole community. With the Seeds of Hope project, 300 children and 500 adults living in desperate need are being supported.
Educating the people in this area on the outskirts of Manila as well as offering them care, affection and dealing with the many shortcomings they are suffering from is an immense task and any extra help is gratefully received.
Our volunteers have therefore taken part in various activities to support the institution, to involve the family's parents, to strengthen the role of the staff and, above all, to encourage the children. Handing out uniforms and school supplies to all of the children who visit the center on a daily basis has achieved two objectives: making children enthusiastic about continuing with their studies and getting them off the streets, as well as reinforcing their sense of belonging to the Eugenia Ravasco Day Care Center family.
