The ‘Semillas de Esperanza’ project from the Eugenia Ravasco Day Care Center INC., which receives the support of Fundación MAPFRE, continues carrying out an intense activity for children in the province of Manila (Philippines), to whom it provides with education, food and medical care. The aid also addresses many of the children’s families.
The project includes a complete schedule of activities to promote the smooth development of children in various areas such as food, education or health care. Programs such as vaccination campaigns, training workshops or sports days are included.
Among the training courses provided, courses on food and nutrition are given, as well as handcraft workshops, prevention of natural disasters or human training workshops. The efforts of this project are focused on ensuring adequate education for children from poor families in the community.
In addition to this, the beneficiaries receive nutritious food and health care, including vaccination campaigns and medical check-ups, as well as medical assistance to women who give birth. Among the intense activity carried out under this project, celebrations are also included such as Nutrition Month. The Day Care Centre Inc. programming follows the school calendar, but it welcomes anyone in the community throughout the whole year.
