The Fundación de Ayuda al Niño/a y Adolescente con Cáncer y Leucemia (ASOLEU) is carrying out the Solí Home project with the support of Fundación MAPFRE. The project aims to improve the quality of life of the young people who face cancer and leukemia.
The Solí Home is an additional tool to help the parents with their children’s treatment.
Most of the beneficiaries of the project are families from the inland region who do not have the economic means, nor family circumstances, to enable them to pay for their own accommodation near the treatment center.
Because the children receive care which can make attending school difficult, ASOLEU offers not only accommodation, but also educational support, materials, and recreational activities.
Along with the care given to the children, the Foundation offers psycho-oncology support to the families, with the aim of helping them cope with a new situation in the easiest and least adverse way for the young patient.
The Foundation ASOLEU, begun in 1998, has been carrying out its altruistic work for nearly 20 years, with the aim of guaranteeing comprehensive treatment to children and young people between birth and 18 years of age.
