The Fundación de Ayuda al Niño/a y Adolescente con Cáncer y Leucemia (ASOLEU) works in the Hospital Materno Infantil in the city of San Lorenzo with the aim of improving the quality of life of the young people facing these diseases.

However, the vast majority of the cases come from the inland region and from families with an unstable economic situation. Here is when the projects such as Recreation area for children and parents benefiting from Asoleu” and “Playing, drawing and healing” are set in motion at the Hogar Solí. It is a physical space which represents food, lodging and tutoring for these patients.

In addition, there is individual and family group work with the aim of achieving better results. In this way, psycho-oncology support is offered to parents and children, essential during the time the treatments last to alleviate the emotional impact the diagnosis of both diseases implies.

The Foundation ASOLEU, begun in 1998, has been carrying out its altruistic work for nearly 20 years, with the aim of guaranteeing comprehensive treatment to children and young people between birth and 18 years of age.
