The Republic of The Philippines is another country where Fundación MAPFRE is working. Specifically, it supports three projects on the Isla de Negros Occidental, and in the cities of Manila and Santa Cruz de Davao. This Asian archipelago is made up of 7,107 islands, inhabited by more than 100 million people. The cultural legacy of the peoples who have passed through the islands is reflected in the Spanish place names, the Catholic religion, and English, which is, together with Filipino, an official language of the country.
