The “Social Sports School” in the Philippines, run by the Real Madrid Foundation together with the Anakk-Sta organization supported by Fundación MAPFRE, collaborates with children and adolescents at risk of social exclusion in Santa Cruz, Hagonoy, Padada and Digos.
The aim of the program is to help the 300 beneficiaries to be readmitted into the education system and to find their first job. It also works with the families of these children with a program that seeks to improve their means of support.
The “Social Sport School” helps to enhance the Annak program by providing an alternative for their free time and educates them in universal human rights such as equality, teamwork, self-sufficiency, etc.
Through playing football, the methodology of the Real Madrid Foundation promotes the emotional, physical and intellectual development of children and young people in order to contribute to their overall advancement.
The Real Madrid Foundation works to preserve and maintain the historical heritage of the club, to foster the values inherent in sport as their main asset, to promote comprehensive education for children and young people and to bring about the social inclusion of vulnerable populations. Since the first school was created in Argentina in 2003, the foundation’s work has grown considerably and it currently has 261 schools in more than 72 countries on all five continents where more than 33,986 children and young people from at-risk backgrounds benefit from their work.
