The Darüssafaka Society, with the support of Fundación MAPFRE, is working to cover the nutritional needs of its resident students through the “Darüssafaka Nutrition Support” program.
The project provides breakfast, a mid-morning snack, lunch, an afternoon snack, dinner and an evening bite to thirty young people who have lost parents and find themselves in an unfavorable economic situation.
The Darüssafaka Society dining hall, where the students receive their meals, is staffed by dietitians who prepare menus according to nutritional and developmental needs of the boys and girls. The association pays special attention to offering a healthy diet to its students.
The Darüssafaka Society, founded in 1863, is the first non-governmental association in the field of education in Turkey. It offers quality education to young people who have lost a parent and find themselves in unfavorable economic circumstances.
