The Cultural and Technical Association carries out development activities and vocational training for 210 children and young people in the neighborhood of Casavalle in Montevideo, as part of its “An option for the youth of Casavalle.” With the support of Fundación MAPFRE, it aims to minimize the risks of crime and reduce the chances of access to bad habits of young people of the neighborhood, providing equal opportunities in education and work.

Through the Los Pinos Educational Center, the Association develops programs that help combat school dropout, giving the young people increased opportunities for access to higher education, and improving their human development so as to enter the labor market. For this reason, school tutoring programs are implemented during primary and secondary education, as are vocational training programs as well as programs of life skills and employability.

The Cultural and Technical Association is a non-profit organization founded in 1965 which promotes the carrying out of diverse social and cultural projects to help the most disadvantaged of Uruguay.
