Teach for America (TFA) works in the area of Dayton, Ohio, to ensure that all children, regardless of the color of their skin or their economic situation, have access to a quality education.
The aim of this program is to use education as a means of change for children who are growing up in poverty. This work, supported by Fundacion MAPFRE, includes classes, coaching and personal development workshops for all the teaching members of TFA who will work with the students.
The project is held at the Dayton Leadership Academy, one of the Association’s most important “member” schools. TFA’s responsibility extends as far as the school Principal, as well as to nearly 50 percent of the teachers.
The Teach for America organization was founded in 1990 and is present in schools throughout the United States. Since then, it has succeeded in creating a community of 53,000 leaders, confirming that education can indeed change lives.
