The “Comprehensive Development of Boys and Girls in Childhood Care and Nutrition” project provides support in the education and the correct diet of boys and girls at risk of social exclusion in the city of Caracas. The Maria Auxiliadora Foundation for Stimulation and Learning, supported by Fundación MAPFRE, takes care of 100 preschool children between the ages of two months and six years old, most of whom come from single-parent homes of limited financial resources.
The foundation works in two areas. One is nutritional care, offering the children a complete and balanced daily diet to ensure a complete physical and intellectual development. The second focuses its efforts on educational support. Many of the children present learning and language problems and do not receive treatment or therapy for lack of financial resources.
