This year we will be holding our fourteenth Fire Prevention Week. This event is in collaboration with the Spanish Professional Firefighters' Association (APTB) and the Fire Extinguishing and Prevention Services of 35 cities around Spain.
With this awareness program we aim to promote greater knowledge of self-protection to the general population but, in a very special way, to the youngest among us. Together with us, children will learn what a fire is, how they can get out of control, the preventive measures to take and what to do if a fire cannot be prevented.
For this event we will once again be using our “Casita de evacuación” (evacuation house) but we will also be launching new materials, a prevention guide for children from 6 to 8 years old and another for children from 9 to 12 years old. With a carefully designed image and specially adapted content, these guides are of great value for children who can take them home with them and continue with their learning in this area.
This same program will be rolled out in several Latin American countries (Argentina, Ecuador, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Uruguay and Puerto Rico) as well as in Brazil.
Stay tuned for the upcoming schedule and check if Fire Prevention Week is coming to your city.
