The protection of the most vulnerable population groups is one of the priorities of Accident Prevention and Road Safety, and is aligned with the new Spanish Road Safety Strategy for the coming decade and the objectives established by the European Commission. The term "vulnerable" refers to everyone who, due to the means of transport they use, is at greater risk of suffering injury in a traffic accident.
