Trastorno agudo o subagudo producido por una hipertensi\u00f3n arterial (HTA) grave, caracterizado por cefalea, embotamiento, confusi\u00f3n o estupor y convulsiones.\/p>\n
A menudo, se observan alteraciones neurol\u00f3gicas con ceguera cortical, hemiparesia y d\u00e9ficit hemisensitivo, y habitualmente existe retinopat\u00eda avanzada.\/p>\n
El tratamiento consiste en una reducci\u00f3n lenta pero progresiva de la presi\u00f3n arterial, hasta llegar a unas cifras m\u00e1s pr\u00f3ximas a las normales.\/p>\n

Las hemorragias epidural o subdural son a menudo consecuencia de traumatismos craneales.\/p>\n
La hemorragia cerebral constituye el 50% de las hemorragias intracraneales, y suele ser debida a la rotura de un vaso por HTA, o secundaria a la isquemia por formaci\u00f3n local de trombos.\/p>\n
