In 2023, Fundación MAPFRE launched the 1st Call for +Rural Grants as part of the ESF+ Social Inclusion, Child Guarantee and Fight against Poverty Program, with a total budget of 6 million euros. The selected initiatives have been fully co-financed by the ESF+ and Fundación MAPFRE.
These operations will be implemented until December 31, 2025, in towns with up to 30,000 inhabitants.
The groups targeted by these initiatives include:
- People with physical or intellectual disabilities.
- Women who are victims of gender-based violence.
- Groups at risk of social exclusion.
- Unemployed people with no qualifications or limited qualifications.
- Single-parent families living in poverty.
- Immigrants.
- People with rare, mental, chronic, or terminal illnesses.
- People without support resources and with a high level of dependency in terms of basic activities.
- Older people in situations of unwanted loneliness with a high risk of isolation and cognitive decline.
- People who are isolated, dependent, and without resources.
- People with reduced mobility and no access to basic services.
