Who is responsible for processing your personal data?

The personal information and/or data you provide us with including, where appropriate, data on health, are included in files, each one of which is under the responsibility of Fundación MAPFRE, Fundación Instituto de Empresa and INSTITUTO DE EMPRESA S.L. (hereinafter, The Entities), according to:

The information and/or personal data you have provided us with will be used for the following purposes:

  • Managing and developing your application and/or participation in the Fundación MAPFRE Awards for Social Innovation, as well as in compliance with legal obligations. 
  • Processing, monitoring and updating any request for information.
  • Publicizing The Entities’ activities, projects, events and/or courses through publications on the web, social media, print media, videos and television.

All the data processing and purposes stated above are necessary or related to the proper maintenance, development and control of the management of the Fundación MAPFRE Awards for Social Innovation.

Moreover, the accepted purposes include the sending of information, including in electronic form, about The Entities’ activities, projects, events and/or courses.

It is within the accepted purposes, but only when expressly accepted, to send information, including in electronic form, about The Entities’ activities, projects, events and/or courses.

For how long will we store your personal data

Personal data provided are kept for a period determined by the following criteria: (i) legal retention period; (ii) duration of the relationship and in order to attend to any responsibilities arising from said relationship; and (iii) a request for the removal of the data from the data subject, where appropriate. 

What is the legitimation for processing your data?

The legal basis for processing your data for the purposes included in the section “For what purpose do we process your personal data” is the exercising of the Activity. The future offer of activities, projects, events and/or courses included in the section entitled “For what purpose do we process your personal data?” is based on the consent which, in your case, has been given. However, if consent is withdrawn this shall in no way affect participation in the Fundación MAPFRE Awards for Social Innovation.

To whom will your data be communicated?

The personal data you have provided us with may be communicated, for the purposes indicated in the section “For what purpose do we process your personal data?”, to Fundación MAPFRE Guanarteme, public administrations and other individuals and legal persons with whom The Entities have entered into collaboration agreements, regardless of whether or not any transaction has been executed, where applicable, once the existing relationship has been terminated and without the need to inform you of the first communication made to the abovementioned recipients.

Within the framework of the communications indicated in the previous paragraph, international data transfers may be made to third countries or international organizations for which the European Commission has or has not issued an adequacy decision. International transfers to countries unable to guarantee an adequate level of protection will only be made in exceptional circumstances and will only take place when it is essential for the appropriate development of the Activity.

What are your rights when you provide us with your data?

Under the terms and the scope established in current legislation, any person has the right to:

  • confirm if the Entities are processing personal data that concern them or not, to have access to them and to the information regarding their processing.
  • request that any inaccurate data be corrected.
  • request the data to be removed when, among other reasons, they are no longer necessary for the purposes for which they were collected, in which case the Entities will stop processing the data except in the exercise or defense of possible claims.
  • request the limitation of the data processing, in which case Fundación MAPFRE will only process the data with their consent, except in the exercise or defense of possible claims or with a view to protecting the rights of other individuals or legal entities or for reasons of important public interest to the European Union or to a certain Member state.
  • oppose their data being processed, in which case the Entities will stop processing the data, except in the defense of possible claims.
  • receive in a structured format, in common use and machine readable, the personal data that concern him or her that have been provided to the Entities, or request that the Entities transfer them directly to another data controller wherever technically possible.
  • remove the consent made, if applicable, for the purposes included in the section «For what purpose do we process your personal data?»,without this affecting the legality of the processing based on the consent made prior to its withdrawal.

The aforementioned rights of access, rectification, removal, limitation, objection and portability can be exercised directly by the owner of the data or through a legal or voluntary representative, by means of a written communication addressed to:

In the case of communications addressed to Fundación Instituto de Empresa and/or INSTITUTO EMPRESA S.L., the User should include “Derechos ARCO Premios Innovación Social FM” in the subject line in order for it to be correctly processed.

The data subject can file a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency, particularly when they consider that they have not obtained satisfaction in the exercise of their rights, by means of the website provided for such purposes by the corresponding Supervisory Body.
