Fundación MAPFRE Bárbara de Braganza Exhibition Hall
Art for all in the heart of Madrid
To underline our commitment to photography, we have devoted space to this artistic discipline in our exhibition rooms on Calle Bárbara de Braganza, on the ‘Paseo del Arte’, the main museum thoroughfare of Madrid. This space is divided into two separate floors of 563,15 m2 where every year we organize four photography exhibitions of renowned masters and well-established contemporary photographers. The photography program did not start until 2008 with Walker Evans, since when our exhibition rooms have hosted such illustrious names as Lewis Hine, Lisette Model, Cartier-Bresson and Paul Strand, as well as photographers such as Fazak Sheikh, Ana Malagrida, Lynne Cohen and Stephen Shore.
The resumption of the programming of this exhibition hall will be announced in due course.
