Anthony Hernandez. A confusing gaze

The shapes and textures of the city of Los Angeles are the main themes of this spectacular catalog edited on the occasion of the exhibition, generously illustrated with over two hundred photos in black and white and in color. The publication includes an introduction by the photographer Robert Adams, texts by Erin O’Toole —curator of the exhibition and Associate Curator of Photography, Baker Street Foundation, SFMOMA— and Ralph Rugoff —th director of the Hayward Gallery in London—, as well as a conversation between Hernandez and his good friend the photographer Lewis Baltz (1945-2014).
