In 2023, the Bravo project by Colombian photographer Felipe Romero Beltrán won the 2nd edition of the KBr Photo Award. This photo reportage captures suspended time, the objects, the architecture and the bodies of those who inhabit the space for waiting and contemplation that exists around the Rio Bravo, that physical and symbolic barrier between Mexico and the United States.
Romero Beltrán’s work is positioned at the boundary of documentary photography. All of his work to date shows his interest in territories that have been, or still are, settings for tension, conflict and visual reflection. This catalog includes the images that make up the exhibition, as well as texts by Alejandra Aragón, Dominik Bermúdez, Albert Crobí and Victoria del Val, curator of the exhibition.
