The 203 pages of this publication bring together the work of Puig Farran, a photographer from Lleida who settled in Barcelona in 1920. He worked as a photojournalist for the daily press in Republican Spain and was a witness to the Civil War. His work has been on display in an exhibition at our KBr Photography Center.
The exhibition comprises a selection of glass plates preserved by the artist’s heirs, together with a large number of original copies held in the La Vanguardia archives. It is complemented by several publications from the period that show how the images reached the public.
