This publication brings together the voices of the eight authors who participated in the 2022 Photography and Archive series directed by archivist Joan Boadas i Raset: María Luisa Bellido Gant, Anne Cartier-Bresson, Miriam Díez Bosch, Josep M. Fonalleras, Joan Fontcuberta, Sergi Griño, Lluís Muntada Vendrell and Bernardo Riego Amézaga.
From their different professional fields, the participants address the process of creating archives throughout history, their progressive consolidation as essential elements in the conservation of heritage and culture, their adaptation to technological changes, the demands of commercialization and globalization… The goal of their presentations is to answer two key questions: what do we decide to keep? What is forgotten?
