The overall goal of the Connected Home project is to promote the independence, safety, and quality of life of older adults living alone by adapting their homes with smart technology, enabling personalized monitoring and rapid emergency response.

Project beneficiaries:

40 older adults living alone, 40 family members and/or authorized caregivers, and one social services professional from each selected municipality.

Expected results and improvements:

• Increased independence and ability to remain at home.
• A reduction in high-risk situations in the home.
• Improved communication between older people, families, and professionals.
• A model that can be replicated in other homes or environments.
