If all standard Spanish roads met the same safety records as the safest ones (motorways and highways), around 750 lives would be saved every year. This was one of the conclusions of the study in which we analyzed the impact of improving the condition of public thoroughfares on reducing accident rates. It also examined to what extent these rates could be further reduced by making certain modifications to road infrastructures in the coming years. View the full study.
