Economic and Industry Outlook 2025

The report presents the quarterly update of macroeconomic and premium growth forecasts for the insurance industry through the second quarter of 2025. Until the first quarter of the year, the global macroeconomic scenario foresaw moderate growth and declining inflation. However, the shift in tariffs in the United States forces us to reconsider a more adverse scenario, with greater resistance to inflation control and lower growth, with a particular effect on the U.S. economy. Regionally, the Eurozone is benefiting from fiscal stimuli; in Latin America, the impact varies by country, while in Asia, trade tensions are affecting forecasts. The insurance sector, for its part, is generally globally resilient, although it faces some uncertainty regarding premium growth, based on the behavior of interest rates and inflation.
