CEAP transforms lives through education in Brazil
An educational model for life skills training in the outskirts of São Paulo.

Current Project
In one of the most vulnerable areas of São Paulo, in the Pedreira community, in 1985 the Centro Educacional Asistencial Profesionalizante (CEAP) launched an Intensive Complementary Education (ICE) project, a robust program of technical training, human development, and family support.
Its free vocational training for young people aged 10 to 14 enrolled in regular schools opens up opportunities in an environment where reality challenges the future of children and adolescents on a daily basis. Because CEAP takes it beyond just school subjects—its goal is to pave the way for these children to access a better life through education.
With a structure consolidated over the course of 22 years, the organization helps around 310 students each year. The project does not only focus on students: families also take part in regular training sessions that extend the educational reach into their homes.
Through mentoring, family gatherings, and partnerships with companies, CEAP prepares young people not only for work but also for life, helping them become well-rounded, mindful individuals who are ready to face the real world.
With a person-centered approach and support from companies, ICE has shown that it is possible to transform lives through education and opportunity. In one of the most neglected regions of São Paulo, CEAP plants the seeds of possibility for a brighter future.
