Current Project

The Music – Notes & Sonnets project is a cultural initiative offering adapted singing workshops and training in the use of instruments. Its goal: the social inclusion of the people who take part. In this space for collective creation, 60 people, including children, young people, and adults, have the opportunity not only to develop artistic and motor skills but also, by feeling empowered, to improve their self-reliance and self-esteem.

Based at Galería Olido in São Paulo, the workshops are held once a week and last two hours. During this time, the participants compose songs and sonnets (poetry set to music), take part in group activities and improvise. Creativity, dialogue and the celebration of diversity are always encouraged. At the end of each workshop, there is a performance in front of an audience. This underlines the importance of the arts as a vehicle for inclusion and social transformation.

For 18 years, the Instituto Olga Kos has been developing artistic, sporting, and scientific projects aimed at children, young people, adults, and older people with disabilities, as well as offering opportunities to people in socially vulnerable situations, promoting inclusion and the sharing of experiences.
