Academic and social support for children in public schools in the capital of Amazonas
Current Project
Since 2016, the Associação Educacional Voz Ativa (AEVA) in Manaus has been encouraging critical thinking and youth participation. The goal is to empower young people to become agents of meaningful change in their communities, while strengthening their social and emotional development and offering them opportunities for a better future.
The association runs its activities in three municipal schools in Manaus and one school in Uarini, all located in the area around the capital of Amazonas, and includes various initiatives aimed at the social well-being of students. Eight educational projects are currently underway: academic support, professional training, sewing courses, judo, flag football, chess, guitar lessons, English, and Spanish.
With our support, AEVA now provides tutoring for 150 students. This gives them the opportunity to transform their lives as well as those of their families and communities.
AEVA was set up to promote quality education in public schools in Manaus. Since then, it has become a benchmark in education and social inclusion, expanding its activities with sports projects in 14 schools in Manaus.
