The Sociedad Amigos de los Niños strengthens opportunities for vulnerable children in Honduras
Hogar Nuevo Paraíso offers educational, health, nutrition, and life skills services to children and young people

The Sociedad Amigos de los Niños (SAN) is a non-profit organization that provides comprehensive care to Honduran children through social and development programs. Its beneficiaries are children and teenagers who have suffered violations of their rights, abuse, abandonment, and exposure to violence.
In Honduras, structural poverty and a lack of access to basic services particularly affect children and young people. In this context, the Sociedad Amigos de los Niños is promoting the “Hogar Nuevo Paraíso 2025” project, a comprehensive initiative that seeks to improve the living conditions, education, and health of children and young people at social risk in the municipality of Morocelí.
The Hogar Nuevo Paraíso home provides a protective, stable, and loving environment for 170 children and young people. Through formal and informal educational programs, workshops on values, vocational guidance, and life skills training, the project fosters their personal and social development. It also promotes educational inclusion and equal opportunities.
In addition, in terms of health and nutrition, the project guarantees a balanced diet and basic medical care, ensuring the physical and emotional well-being of its beneficiaries. It also offers prevention actions and promotes healthy habits for the entire educational community in the home.
