Fundación Los Pinos provides training and future plans for young people in an area of Montevideo, Uruguay, ravaged by poverty, violence and drugs.
The Oriental Republic of Uruguay is located in the southeastern region of South America, with the Río de la Plata, which separates it from Argentina, to the south. More than half of the nation’s population is concentrated in the metropolitan area of the capital, Montevideo. Among development indexes, it can boast of having the highest rate of literacy in Latin America and the most equitable distribution of income of the region. A project which is being developed in the capital of Montevideo is receiving support from the Fundación MAPFRE.
The Fundación Prointegra works towards helping 40 young people with intellectual disabilities become more employable through cognitive stimulation courses and trade workshops in Montevideo, Uruguay.
