Join us and Tweet. You will be helping to make our commitment to society more visible
We live in a changing world, a world in which society needs to come up with effective ways to deal with the challenges we are facing. Foundations, faced with this new reality, have a responsibility to promote citizen engagement and respond to the changes society is calling for. We want to make our work known and to involve the general public in reaching these goals.
#somosfundaciones is a coordinated campaign on Twitter which will run from 1 to 5 April 2019 through #somosfundaciones, the hashtag that we have set up in order for foundations to use it to publish tweets about their work and to show how this contributes to one or various sustainable development goals. In this fourth edition we will also call on people that collaborate with foundations to use the campaign’s official hashtag to tell us why they work with them and to encourage other people to get involved with an entity in the third sector.
Each day the tweets will touch on different topics and groups which concern us and are of interest to all of us. Although you can send a tweet at any time, we have organized to do it together at 12 noon so we can all tweet at the same time and therefore draw more attention to our cause.
Take part each day by publishing a tweet on the following topics.
- Monday 1 April: society.
- Tuesday 2 April: equality.
- Wednesday 3 April: Sustainability.
- Thursday 4 April: The environment.
- Friday 5 April: International cooperation.
Help us to spread the word about the importance of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and to tell the world about the commitment of Foundations to reaching these 17 goals which are going to improve our world.
In this second edition we hope to reach and possibly improve on the results of the 2018 campaign which were incredibly positive. 714 participants, 1,692 tweets, 2,083,506 people reached, and 5,300,000 views (no. of times a publication is viewed).
