This publication updates the image of Daniel Vázquez Díaz in the Fundación MAPFRE Collections, a key artist in the development of Spanish modern art and in the collections of our institution. Its pages include nearly eighty works that help to shape a retrospective view of this author, while focusing on one of his most important works: a very significant set of paintings, watercolors and preparatory drawings for the frescoes that he created in 1930 in the monastery of La Rábida, which narrate what is known as The Poem of the Discovery, in reference to the discovery of America.
