Prevalence of the risk of internet addiction

This study is a pilot project that seeks to identify the prevalence of the risk of Internet addiction in teenagers from metropolitan Lima (Lima and Callao) and Arequipa, the two cities with the highest connectivity rates in Peru where around 30% of all Peruvian teenagers live. It explores the demographic and psychological factors in the development of dysfunctional behavior on the Internet and seeks a closer understanding of teenagers’ online habits and use of video games.
