Completed Project

The Asociación Civil Mensajeros de la Paz, with the support of Fundación MAPFRE is carrying out the “Hogares Malen” project which provides a home and care  for children under 12 who find themselves in situations of vulnerability, having been abandoned by or having  little contact with their nuclear families in Buenos Aires, Argentina. 

This project, which the organization has been working on since 2010, provides for 180 boys and girls supports them in the following areas: 

  • Nutrition
  • Reinsertion and continuity in the education system
  • Comprehensive health care 
  • Family integration
  • Training in exercising their rights

The association works with three care homes in which these children are given a place to live, health care is coordinated with local agencies, workshops on social integration and employment training and diverse educational and recreational activities are held. 

In addition, the Asociación Civil Mensajeros de la Paz liaises with the Childhood and Adolescence authorities to ensure that these initiatives affecting the living conditions of the beneficiaries are long-lasting. 

Mensajeros de la Paz is an international organization which is running programs in 50 countries. It has been operating in Argentina since 2002 where it works for the social inclusion of the most vulnerable sectors of society, implementing comprehensive care projects aimed at restoring  their rights.
