Completed Project

The Centro de Estudos Avançados de Promoção Social e Ambiental (CEAPS) promotes educational life experiences for children and adolescents in the communities along the Amazon River, through campaigns and socio-educational activities.

The “Educacão Popular por os Direitos dos Crianças e Adolescentes do Amazonas” program, with which Fundación MAPFRE collaborates, develops activities that complement the schooling of these children and adolescents, with the aim of encouraging them to take the initiative and mobilize in defense of children’s rights.

CEAPS activities include educational workshops, ongoing training and other action related to health, citizenship, rights and abuse prevention.

Since 1987, CEAPS has been committed to achieving the social inclusion of the new generations in the Amazon, as the main drivers of the change that will transform their communities in the future. This goal of this association is to provide comprehensive education by raising the awareness of young people’s families and their environment, ensuring adequate access for minors to public services, especially schools, and providing assistance in other areas such as healthcare and economic issues.
