The third edition of the Fundación MAPFRE Awards for Social Innovation took place in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, at a time when it is essential that we all work towards the wellbeing of our society. Social Innovation has proved to be a transformative tool for the world we live in, and today it is more necessary than ever. The projects that took part in the Awards are a fine example of this.
At this year’s edition, as in previous ones, the success of the call demonstrated the huge interest that social innovation arouses, and confirms that today’s entrepreneurs have understood that business and economy can also be of service to society. For everyone who has been with us throughout the selection process of the winning projects, we have been adapting to the different scenarios dictated by the current situation, making our format more flexible and using the resources offered by technology to ensure you could be with us at the grand final.
The third edition of the MAPFRE Awards for Social Innovation demonstrates our continued commitment to supporting dedicated entrepreneurship in order to multiply its positive and transformative impact in three areas: Improving Health and Digital Technology (e-Health), Innovation in Insurance, and Sustainable Mobility and Road Safety.
The three geographical regions around which the Awards were based in this third edition were Brazil, the rest of Latin America, and Europe.
