Completed Project

The goal of the program is to help strengthen the skill set of the population aged over 18 years of age in the Paraisópolis Community through a series of actions designed to increase knowledge and improve access to social rights projects, work and income generation, as well as actions for preventing and combating violence.

The population of Paraisópolis is particularly marked by long-term unemployment as well as difficulties related to access to public services, illiteracy, a poorly qualified labor force, irregular work, drug use and violence.

Given this situation, it is important to develop preventive actions and create spaces for discussion on citizenship and rights, coexistence and training as a way to achieve the goals of improved living conditions, job and income generation, independence, and community participation, in addition to preventing and combating any form of violence.

The project, supported by Fundación MAPFRE, offers 23 professional training courses for individuals aged 18 and over in the areas of beauty, gastronomy, management and business, health and wellness, general services and dressmaking.
