The Fundación Padre Semería welcomes children into their homes who have been abused and abandoned by their families and offers them shelter, the care they need in order to recover physically and emotionally and, above all, education to help them aspire to a better future.
The Republic of Chile, a narrow strip of land 4,270 kilometers long and never more than 445 kilometers wide, is located between the Pacific Ocean and the Andes mountain range. The country’s indexes of economic growth, quality of life, human development and GDP rank it among the highest in Latin America. Fundación MAPFRE is a partner on a project in the capital Santiago de Chile and on another in La Pintana.
Thanks to this project, with the collaboration of the Casa de la Amistad, children and their families can benefit from full support and educational assistance in order for students who are suffering from chronic diseases to be able to go to class.
