The Padre Semeria Foundation, working with the support of Fundación MAPFRE, is carrying out the “Tutoring for Children at Social Risk” project in La Pintana. Thanks to this program, 65 girls and boys receive classes in which they are taught good study habits and learn useful life values such as the importance of effort.
This student support project is aimed at training and giving new learning opportunities to the youngest students so that they can catch up with their studies and therefore avoid failure and school dropout. The Padre Semeria Foundation not only provides support and school tutoring, it also provides students the necessary psycho-pedagogical tools needed for their return to school.
Activities included in the project include arts and crafts and carpentry workshops, where the children learn new skills, acquire more self-confidence and develop their creativity.
The Padre Semeria Foundation, founded in 1983, considers education a fundamental tool for escaping the poverty and the susceptibility to which the most disadvantaged are exposed.
