I segni nel tempo

“I segni nel tempo” (Sign of the Times) is the result of a rigorous research project that provides a greater insight into the collection of drawings held in the Uffizi Gallery and sheds light on many previously unknown artists. The project came about thanks to the García Viñolas Grant for cataloging Fundación MAPFRE’s drawing collections, which was awarded to the Gabinetto Disegni e Stampe (Prints and Drawings Department) of the Uffizi Gallery under the scientific direction of Benito Navarrete Prieto, professor at the University of Alcalá and expert in Spanish drawing and painting from the Golden Age. The publication coincides with the exhibition of the same name organized jointly by the San Fernando Royal Academy of Fine Arts, Fundación MAPFRE and the Uffizi’s Gabinetto Disegni e Stampe.
