Recognition for agricultural and livestock or agro-industrial producers
Presented every two years and global in scope, this award is a recognition and a stimulus for those entrepreneurs, producers and professionals of the agriculture and livestock sector who have innovated in their organizations, achieving improved profitability due to this innovation, or who have enhanced the quality control and safety standards in their production chain, optimizing the use of resources and ensuring their long-term sustainability, favoring the development of a more competitive, sustainable and territorially balanced economic model.
The selection criteria for choosing the best candidate are:
- Contribution by the project to economic activity in the region where it was developed.
- Contribution of the project to the digitalization of the Agriculture and Livestock Sector.
- Sustainability of the project in economic, environmental and socioeconomic terms.
- Contribution to employability, including groups at risk of social exclusion or any other type of discrimination.
- Existence of a risk management plan.
- Support by local, regional or national institutions, backing the nomination.
The award includes a €40,000 prize.
