The Fundación Real Madrid and the Fundación Amigos del Real Madrid in Panamá run, with the support of Fundación MAPFRE, a school focused on the fostering of social and sporting values. This school is in Panama City where they look after 198 boys, girls and young people between 5 and 17 years old. Through the practice of sport and the passing on of values, the objective is to contribute to the improvement of the quality of life of these youngsters, who hail from depressed areas and who are at risk of marginalization.

The project proposes using as a catalyst a passion for sport and the transmission of its values through the methodology developed and implemented by the Fundación Real Madrid, adapted to the country’s current situation. The sports activities are complemented by ones which are of an educational and social nature.

The Fundación Real Madrid works on maintaining and conserving the heritage of the club, fostering the values inherent in sport as its main asset, favoring the comprehensive education of children and youth and the social inclusion of those most vulnerable. Since 2003 when the first school was created in Argentina, the work of this foundation has grown substantially. At present it has 261 schools in more than 72 countries on 5 continents, which benefit more than 33,986 boys, girls and young people in situations of risk.
