The Voces Vitales de Panama association, together with Fundación MAPFRE, is working on the “Las Claras, liberating the potential of teenager mothers” project which aims to create and maintain opportunities for adolescent mothers in the area of Corregimiento de Felipillo, Panama.
The project is made up of five programs. When combined, they promote the development of the teenager mothers’ capabilities, helping them develop personal and productive potential, both at an individual level and, with their new family, at a community level.
The different programs include all the components needed for increasing these young women’s potential: psychosocial, schooling, technical training and professional development, comprehensive health services, and early childhood and affective development.
Voces Vitales de Panama is an association which encourages women’s participation and promotes their education, health and access to equal opportunities, in order to achieve profound social change. The association has trained more than 7,000 women since it was founded.
