Thank you for helping our elderly in these difficult times
We’re living longer and longer. Life expectancy has been increasing in most countries and for example in Spain it is already 83.4 years. But, in many cases, old age is lived with chronic diseases and disabilities and also, with loneliness and a lack of resources.
The arrival of COVID-19 in our lives has aggravated a situation that in many cases was already critical. In addition to the fear of infection, to the concern about the situation we are experiencing, many of our senior citizens also live alone, with little mobility and a lack of resources.
With the Now, for them campaign we have managed to channel resources to solve their most urgent needs. Thanks to the collaboration of many generous people, we can help the elderly who are living this health crisis in need of assistance, food, medicine and support. They are our memory, they deserve all our care.
At Fundación MAPFRE we have matched your contribution, reaching a total of more than 145,000 euros with which, through the Sé Solidario program, we will be able to reach out to all those in need.
