We cover the basic needs of families in extreme need
The corona virus crisis is pushing many families to the poverty line who have never before been forced to turn to any type of public social assistance. Without income and with soup kitchens and food banks working unequally, they can’t meet their basic needs.
At Fundación MAPFRE, we are launching an action to support them in this situation of extreme vulnerability. In collaboration with Carrefour, we issued the Fundación MAPFRE Family Food Card, which will be distributed among the families most in need of help.
With an amount of 100 euros, the cards can be used in the Carrefour centers to purchase basic necessity items. The social entities collaborating in the Sé Solidario Program will be in charge of distributing them based on their specific knowledge of the worst social risk situations.
