The Kalipay Negrense Foundation, Inc. (KNFI) carries out, with the collaboration of Fundación MAPFRE, a residential care program aimed at disadvantaged children on the island of Negros Occidental. The children have been abandoned, orphaned or are victims of abuse. Kalipay offers these children a house that serves as a shelter where it tries to break the cycle of misery in their lives by providing them with food, shelter, education and medical and psychological care.

The center has trained personnel, such as shelter staff, child caregivers, a social worker and a psychologist. They work to make the foster children consider the center a home, simulating a family atmosphere, an ideal place to bring up healthy, capable, positive and productive individuals.

The Kalipay Negrense Foundation, Inc. was founded in 2007, working to take care of disadvantaged boys and girls on the Island of Negros Occidental, who have been abandoned, abused, victims of child prostitution rings, or live in the street.
